Aberdeenshire Disability Action hosted an all day conference on Holistic Housing For People With Disabilities. This was a community forum for discussion of the issues and complexities surrounding housing for people affected by disability. The conference took place on Friday, 26 June, at the Barn and Bushel, Thainstone Centre, Inverurie between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The speakers who have agreed to appear so far are Sandy Murray from Tenants First, Janelle Clark from Aberdeenshire Council, and Sally Sorrie from Momentum Scotland. The conference was very interesting, I am moving from the City post to the central and south Aberdeenshire post in August so it was very interesting to hear about resources available to people who are experiencing difficulties with housing and how things work in the Shire. The speakers were on the whole very interesting and I found the information they were able to give me useful.
